          หมู่เกาะสิมิลัน จะไม่สามารถเที่ยวได้ในช่วงฤดูฝน มีการปิด-เปิดฤดู ดังนี้

          - ปิดฤดูการท่องเที่ยว ตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 พฤษภาคม-31 ตุลาคมของทุกปี
          - เปิดฤดูการท่องเที่ยว ตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 พฤศจิกายน-30 เมษายนของทุกปี

           การเดินทาง : จากท่าเรือทับละมุ อำเภอท้ายเหมือง จังหวัดพังงา มีเรือโดยสารของบริษัทเอกชนให้บริการทุกวันในช่วงฤดูกาลท่องเที่ยว นักท่องเที่ยวจำเป็นจะต้องจองเรือล่วงหน้า เพราะในแต่ละวันจะมีเรือไป-กลับเพียงเที่ยวเดียวเท่านั้น โดยเรือโดยสารจะพานักท่องเที่ยวไปส่งยังเกาะเมี่ยง ซึ่งเป็นที่ตั้งที่ทำการอุทยานแห่งชาติหมู่เกาะสิมิลันและเกาะสิมิลัน
