ในความคิดของฉัน การเรียนวิชา "thai studies" ให้ประสบความสำเร็จนั้น ต้องฝึกฝนจากการอ่านและความเข้าใจ ต้องเริ่มจากการเรียนรู้และจดจำคำศัพท์ให้ได้ เพราะอย่างน้อยการรู้คำศัพท์ก็ทำให้หา key wordได้โดยไม่ต้องอ่านทั้งประโยค และต้องรู้ความเป็นมาของประวัติศาสตร์ไทยเพราะประวัติศาสตร์นั้นเป็นวิชาพื้นฐานที่นักเรียนต้องเคยเรียนมาก่อน ย่อมต้องมีความรู้อยู่แล้ว เมื่อนำทั้งความเข้าใจในภาษาอังกฤษและความรู้ทางประวัติศาสตร์มารวมกัน การเรียนวิชานี้ก็จะเกิดความเข้าใจ ประสบความสำเร็จในการเรียนการสอน
