อุตุฯ ออกประกาศเตือนเรื่อง หย่อมความกดอากาศต่ำกำลังแรงบริเวณอ่าวไทยและภาคใต้ ทำให้ตั้งแต่22ธ.ค.นี้ จะมีฝนตกหนักตั้งแต่ชุมพร ไปจนถึงนราธิวาส ระวังน้ำท่วมฉับพลัน ส่วนตอนบนของประเทศจะอุ่นขึ้น...
เมื่อเวลา 11.00 น. วันที่ 20 ธ.ค.กรมอุตุนิยมวิทยา ได้มีประกาศเรื่อง
"หย่อมความกดอากาศต่ำกำลังแรงบริเวณอ่าวไทยและภาคใต้" ฉบับที่ 1 ลงวันที่ 20 ธันวาคม 2558 ระบุว่า
"หย่อมความกดอากาศต่ำกำลังแรงบริเวณทะเลจีนใต้จะเคลื่อนตัวมาปกคลุมบริเวณอ่าวไทยตอนล่างในวันพรุ่งนี้ (21 ธ.ค.58) หลังจากนั้นจะเคลื่อนเข้าปกคลุมภาคใต้ในช่วงวันที่ 22-23 ธันวาคม 2558 ประกอบกับมรสุมตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือกำลังค่อนข้างแรงยังคงพัดปกคลุมอ่าวไทย ลักษณะเช่นนี้ส่งผลให้ภาคใต้บริเวณจังหวัดชุมพร สุราษฎร์ธานี นครศรีธรรมราช พัทลุง สงขลา ปัตตานี ยะลา และนราธิวาส จะมีฝนเพิ่มมากขึ้น และมีฝนตกหนักบางแห่ง ขอให้ประชาชนบริเวณดังกล่าวระวังผลกระทบจากฝนตกหนักที่อาจทำให้เกิดน้ำท่วมฉับพลัน และน้ำป่าไหลหลากไว้ด้วย
สำหรับคลื่นลมบริเวณอ่าวไทยมีกำลังแรง โดยมีคลื่นสูง 2-3 เมตร ขอให้ประชาชนที่อาศัยอยู่บริเวณชายฝั่งระวังอันตรายจากคลื่นลมแรงซัดเข้าหาฝั่ง ส่วนชาวเรือบริเวณอ่าวไทยควรเดินเรือด้วยความระมัดระวังและเรือเล็กควรงดออกจากฝั่งในระยะนี้
อนึ่ง บริเวณความกดอากาศสูงกำลังแรงที่ปกคลุมประเทศไทยตอนบนเริ่มมีกำลังอ่อนลง ทำให้บริเวณประเทศไทยตอนบนจะมีอุณหภูมิสูงขึ้น แต่บริเวณภาคเหนือ ภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ และภาคกลางตอนบน จะยังคงมีอากาศเย็นในตอนเช้า
