ณ วันที่ 9 พฤศจิกายน 2554 นาย ค. ชำระเงินขั้นต่ำ คือ ร้อยละ 10 ของยอดค่าสินค้าทั้งหมด หรือเท่ากับ 1,800 บาท ดังนั้น ในรอบบัญชีถัดไป ธนาคารจะจัดส่งใบแจ้งหนี้ ซึ่งมีรายละเอียดยอดคงค้าง เท่ากับ 18,000-1,800 = 16,200 บาท และดอกเบี้ยอีกจำนวน 298.84 บาท
โดยธนาคารจะคำนวณดอกเบี้ยแยกเป็น 2 ส่วน ดังนี้
1) ส่วนแรก : ดอกเบี้ยจะคิดจากค่าใช้จ่ายที่เกิดขึ้นทั้งหมดในรอบบัญชีที่แล้ว หรือ 18,000 บาท โดยจำนวนวัน จะนับจากวันที่สรุปยอดรายการ (25 ต.ค. 2554) จนถึงวันก่อนที่ธนาคารได้รับชำระเงินขั้นต่ำ (8 พ.ย. 2554) หรือเท่ากับ 15 วัน (ทั้งนี้ ธนาคารหรือผู้ประกอบการบางราย อาจนับจำนวนวันจากวันที่เกิดรายการนั้น ๆ ซึ่งในกรณีนี้ คือ วันที่ 5 ต.ค. 2555)
