การอกตัญญูหรือการเนรคุณพ่อแม่นั้นถื

การอกตัญญูหรือการเนรคุณพ่อแม่นั้นถือว่าเป็นบาปใหญ่ที่ต้องได้รับการลงโทษอย่างแสนสาหัสในวันอาคิเราะฮฺ(วันปรโลก)

แม้แต่เพียงการกล่าวไม่ดีต่อพ่อแม่ก็เป็นสิ่งต้องห้าม เช่นการกล่าว “อุ๊ฟ” หรือ “หึ” ใส่พ่อแม่ หรือการปฏิเสธพ่อแม่ การตะคอกใส่พ่อแม่ การแสดงอาการเกลียดชังและไม่เคารพต่อทั้งสองคนก็เช่นเดียวกัน อัลลอฮฺได้ตรัสไว้ว่า

وَقَضَى رَبُّكَ أَلاَّ تَعْبُدُواْ إِلاَّ إِيَّاهُ وَبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَاناً إِمَّا يَبْلُغَنَّ عِندَكَ الْكِبَرَ أَحَدُهُمَا أَوْ كِلاَهُمَا فَلاَ تَقُل لَّهُمَا أُفٍّ وَلاَ تَنْهَرْهُمَا وَقُل لَّهُمَا قَوْلاً كَرِيماً، وَاخْفِضْ لَهُمَا جَنَاحَ الذُّلِّ مِنَ الرَّحْمَةِ وَقُل رَّبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيراً (سورة الإسراء:23-24)
