วิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อทำการเปรียบเทียบการแสดงผลลัพธ์ระหว่างซอฟต์แวร์รหัสเปิดและซอฟต์แวร์กรรมสิทธิ์ โดยใช้ข้อมูลจากภาพถ่ายดาวเทียม Landsat – 5 เดือนมกราคม 2552 พื้นที่การศึกษาบริเวณอุทยานแห่งชาติทุ่งแสลงหลวง ศึกษาและวิเคราะห์เปรียบเทียบระหว่างซอฟต์แวร์รหัสเปิดกับซอฟต์แวร์กรรมสิทธิ์ โดยใช้วิธี Supervised Classification และ NDVI
การเปรียบเทียบการ Classification โดยวิธี Supervised Classification และ NDVI ซึ่งจะแยกซอฟต์แวร์ออกเป็น 2 ซอฟต์แวร์ ระหว่างซอฟต์แวร์รหัสเปิดกับซอฟต์แวร์กรรมสิทธิ์
ผลการศึกษาพบว่า การวิเคราะห์โดยวิธี Supervised Classification ผลลัพธ์ของทั้งสองซอฟต์แวร์มีผลลัพธ์แตกต่างกันไม่มากนัก สำหรับการวิเคราะห์ด้วยวิธี NDVI ผลลัพธ์ทั้งสองซอฟต์แวร์มีผลลัพธ์ที่เหมือนกัน
