การศึกษาความต้องการและแนวทางแก้ไขปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อมในชุมชน โดยชุมชนบ้านหินตั้ง ตำบลแวงน่าง อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดมหาสารคาม มีวัตถุประสงค์ทั้งหมด 3 ข้อ ดังนี้ 1)เพื่อ-ศึกษาความต้องการแก้ไขปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อมที่เกิดขึ้นในชุมชนบ้านหินตั้ง ตำบลแวงน่าง อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดมหาสารคาม 2)เพื่อศึกษาความคิดเห็นของชาวบ้านต่อระดับปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อมในชุมชนบ้านหินตั้ง ตำบลแวงน่าง อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดมหาสารคาม 3)เพื่อศึกษาแนวทางการแก้ไขปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อมที่เกิดขึ้นในชุมชนบ้านหินตั้ง ตำบลแวงน่างอำเภอเมือง จังหวัดมหาสารคาม โดยศึกษากับประชากร 185 ครัวเรือน จำนวน 668 คน และกลุ่มตัวอย่าง 20 คน เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลใช้แบบสอบถาม สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลคือ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ผลการศึกษา พบว่า ความคิดเห็นต่อระดับปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อมในชุมชน โดยรวมอยู่ในระดับที่เห็นด้วย (¯x=2.36±0.44) ความเห็นด้วยเกี่ยวกับความต้องการในการแก้ไขปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อมในชุมชน โดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก (¯x=3.67±0.72) ความเห็นด้วยต่อแนวทางแก้ไขปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อมในชุมชนได้แก่ 1)ด้านปัญหาขยะมูลฝอย โดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด (¯x=4.62±0.57) มีความเห็นด้วยต่อแนวทางการแก้ไขปัญหาคือ เมื่อไปจ่ายตลาดควรใช้ตะกร้าหรือถุงผ้าแทนถุงพลาสติก 2)ด้านปัญหาภัยแล้ง โดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก (¯x=4.26±0.71) มีความคิดเห็นต่อแนวทางการแก้ไขปัญหาคือ ขุดสระน้ำเพื่อกักเก็บน้ำไว้ใช้ทำการเกษตร 3)ด้านปัญหาน้ำเสีย โดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก (¯x=3.96±0.62) มีความคิดเห็นต่อแนวทางการแก้ไขปัญหาคือ ขุดร่องระบายน้ำในหมู่บ้าน 4)ด้านปัญหามลพิษทางอากาศ/ควัน โดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก (¯x=3.82±0.75) มีความคิดเห็นต่อแนวทางการแก้ไขปัญหาคือ ควรมีช่วงเวลาในการเผาตอฟาง/ขยะ 5)ด้านปัญหาดิน โดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก (¯x=3.96±0.64) ความคิดเห็นต่อแนวทางการแก้ไขปัญหาคือ ควรลดการใช้สารเคมี โดยหันมาทำปุ๋ยหมักชีวภาพจากธรรมชาติ 6)ด้านปัญหามลพิษทางเสียง โดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก (¯x=3.95±0.87) ความคิดเห็นต่อแนวทางการแก้ไขปัญหาคือ ลดการขับขี่มอเตอร์ไซด์ภายในชุมชน แล้วหันมาขับรถจักรยานแ
