For Pandora Rose, our OEM factories use our master models to make their own rubber molds. About 2 months ago when working on ideas for the BCP, I asked our factories how many rubbers they get from one master model. All said they get about 2 times more than we do.

I understand that our lead times suffer right now in part because production cannot get enough models from NPI. As a result, the Excom is thinking about having production make their own masters.

Thomas suggested to me, though, that we should first try to learn how OEM makes rubber molds, to see if they really make more durable rubbers, and if we can learn from them.

If you are interested, please let me know, and I will work with K Pae to try to arrange some visits and discussions with the OEM factories.
