การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์หลัก 3 ประการ ประการแรก เป็นการศึกษาระดับความเชื่อมั่นของผู้ใช้บริการที่มีต่อการป้องปรามการละเมิดทรัพย์สินทางปัญญา กรมทรัพย์สินทางปัญญา กระทรวงพาณิชย์ ประการที่สอง เป็นการศึกษาเปรียบเทียบความเชื่อมั่นของผู้ใช้บริการที่มีต่อการป้องปรามการละเมิดทรัพย์สินทางปัญญา กรมทรัพย์สินทางปัญญา กระทรวงพาณิชย์จำแนกตามปัจจัยส่วนบุคคล และประการสุดท้าย เป็นการศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างความรู้เกี่ยวกับการป้องปรามการละเมิดทรัพย์สินทางปัญญากับความเชื่อมั่นของผู้ใช้บริการที่มีต่อการป้องปรามการละเมิดทรัพย์สินทางปัญญา กรมทรัพย์สินทางปัญญา กระทรวงพาณิชย์ กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ คัดเลือกมากจากประชาชนผู้มาติดต่อใช้บริการที่กรมทรัพย์สินทางปัญญา จำนวน 388 คน โดยใช้วิธีการสุ่มตัวอย่าง แบบบังเอิญ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการรวบรวมข้อมูล ได้แก่ แบบสอบถามและวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้โปรแกรมสำเร็จรูปทางสถิติ สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ ได้แก่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ค่า t-test การวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวนทางเดียว และค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์แบบเพียร์สัน โดยมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05
