4.โสกทุกข์ คือ ความโศกเป็นทุกข์ เป็นสภาพจิตที่เดือดร้อนระส่ำระสาย กระวนกระวายแห้งเหือดไป ยามนอนก็นอนไม่หลับ ยามรับประทานก็รับประทานไม่ได้ ทั้งนี้อาจเกิดมาจากการสูญเสียญาติมิตร หรือทรัพย์สมบัติ
