รองอธิการบดี มหาวิทยาลัยหัวเฉียวเฉลิมพระเกียรติ กล่าวเปิดงานสืบสานประเพณีลอยกระทง ประจำปี 2558 เมื่อวันอังคารที่ 24 พฤศจิกายน 2558 ณ สนามกีฬาอเนกประสงค์ และลานกิจกรรมหน้าอาคารชิน โสภณพนิช เพื่อสืบสานวัฒนธรรมประเพณีของไทย เพื่อให้นักศึกษาและบุคลากรร่วมรำลึกถึงพระคุณของแม่น้ำคงคา กิจกรรมในงานมีการประกวดนางนพมาศ ประจำปี 2558 โดยแต่ละคณะวิชาส่งเข้าประกวด กิจกรรมรำวงย้อนยุค และร่วมลอยกระทง ณ สระน้ำสวนสุขภาพ โดยได้รับความสนใจและเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมของนักศึกษาเป็นจำนวนมาก
