การลงทุนในตลาดหลักทรัพย์มีความเสี่ยงการตัดสินใจลงทุนจึงจาเป็นต้องมีข้อมูลที่มากพอและการวิเคราะห์ที่ดีเยี่ยมเพื่อลดความเสียหายเนื่องจากการตัดสินใจที่ผิดพลาด งานวิจัยนี้จึงมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ
1.ศึกษารูปแบบของกราฟแท่งเทียน ที่แสดงแนวโน้มหรือทิศทางการเปลี่ยนแปลงของราคาหุ้น 2.พยากรณ์ราคาหุ้นโดยอาศัยรูปแบบกราฟแท่งเทียนโดยหุ้นที่นามาพยากรณ์มี 19 หุ้นได้แก่ BANPU, BCP, BDMS, CPF, EARTH, GLOBAL, LOXLEY, MEGA, MINT, PTT, PTTGC, RATCH, ROBINS, SCB, SF, SVI, CENTEL, KTISและTPIPLระยะเวลา 4 สัปดาห์ในช่วงวันที่ 22 พฤษภาคม 2558 – 22 มิถุนายน 2558 โดยมีผลการศึกษาดังนี้1.ลักษณะกราฟแท่งเทียนที่แสดงแนวโน้มหรือทิศทางการเปลี่ยนแปลงของราคาหุ้นมีทิศทางขึ้น มีรูปแบบดังนี้ Morning Star, Hammer, Bullish Counterattack Line, Piercing Line, Tower Bottom, harami in downtrend, harami cross in downtrend 2.ลักษณะกราฟแท่งเทียนที่แสดงแนวโน้มหรือ
