งานวิจัยเรื่อง การทำเกลือสปาน้ำนมข้าวของชาวบ้านจำปาดำ ตำบลกุดเรือคำ อำเภอวานรนิวาส จังหวัดสกลนคร มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ เพื่อศึกษาขั้นตอนวิธีการทำเกลือสปาน้ำนมข้าว และเพื่อให้รู้ถึงประโยชน์ของเกลือสปาน้ำนมข้าว โดยใช้เครื่องมือในการศึกษาครั้งนี้ ได้แก่ สัมภาษณ์แบบมีโครงสร้าง แบบสังเกตแบบไม่มีเค้าโครง ผลวิจัยพบว่า ชาวบ้านจำปาดง ทำเกลือสปาน้ำนมข้าวเป็นแล้วแต่ครัวเรือนซึ่งทำกันส่วนน้อยของชาวบ้าน เพื่อส่งออกให้ร้านค้าและจัดเป็นเกลือสปาน้ำนมข้าวที่ได้มีคุณภาพ ซึ่งได้มาจากการทำเกลือสินเธาว์ที่นิยมในพื้นที่หมู่บ้านจำปาดง และยังเป็นสร้างรายได้เสริมให้แก่ครอบครัว เกลือสปากลิ่นน้ำนมข้าว จะช่วยในเรื่องมีเกลือแร่ กลูโคส วิตามิน E ชะลอความแก่ โปรตีน ควบคุมการทำงานของร่างกาย - ซิ้งค์ ป้องกันโรคภูมิแพ้ ลดความมันป้องกันการเกิดสิว
