1. แนวคิดและที่มา
สภาพสังคมปัจจุบันที่เปลี่ยนแปลงไปมากนั้น นอกจากจะส่งผลต่อการใช้ในด้านต่างๆแล้วยังส่งผลต่อการสื่อสารที่ใช้ภาษาเป็นเครื่องมือด้วยปัญหาในการใช้ภาษาไทยที่เกิดจากการใช้ในอินเทอร์เน็ตนั้น เริ่มลุกลามมาจากโปรแกรมสนทนา (chat) และเกมออนไลน์ การสนทนาอันไม่มีขีดจำกัดประกอบกับความต้องการให้การสนทนาสั้นและกระชับ จึงทำให้เกิดปัญหา การกร่อนคำและการสร้างคำใหม่ ในการใช้ภาษาไทยด้วย เช่น คำว่า “สวัสดี” ถูกกร่อนคำเหลือ “ดีคับ” “ใช่ไหม” เป็น “ชิมิ” เป็นต้น คำเหล่านี้ถูกคิดขึ้นและใช้กันอย่างแพร่หลายในอินเทอร์เน็ต ด้วยเหตุผลเพื่อให้ดูเป็นคำที่น่ารัก และพิมพ์ง่ายขึ้น โดยไม่คำนึงถึงว่า นั่นคือการทำลายภาษาไทยโดยทางอ้อม เนื่องจากมีการนำคำเหล่านั้นมาใช้พูดและเขียนในชีวิตประจำวันด้วย จึงได้จัดทำโครงงานนี้ขึ้น
2. วัตถุประสงค์
2.1 เพื่อศึกษาการเปลี่ยนแปลงภาษาของวัยรุ่นที่ใช้คำในอินเทอร์เน็ต
2.2 เพื่อเป็นการรวบรวมและเผยแพร่ ภาษาที่วัยรุ่นใช้ในปัจจุบัน
2.3 เพื่อเป็นการสร้างความตระหนักในการใช้ภาษาไทยให้ถูกต้อง
3. ขอบเขตการศึกษาค้นคว้า
3.1 ศึกษาคำศัพท์วัยรุ่นที่ใช้กันเฉพาะกลุ่มในยุคปัจจุบันได้แก่คำที่ใช้ในกลุ่มเพื่อน กลุ่มคำที่ใช้บ่อย กลุ่มคำที่ใช้กับแฟน
3.2 คำศัพท์ที่วัยรุ่นใช้ในที่นี้คือคำสะแลงหรือคำคะนองที่ใช้ในปัจจุบันนี้เท่านั้น
3.3 ประชากร ในการศึกษาค้นคว้าเป็นนักเรียนระดับมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4/6 โรงเรียนปทุมราชวงศา
3.4กลุ่มตัวอย่างในการศึกษาครั้งนี้ เป็นนักเรียนระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4/6โรงเรียนปทุมราชวงศา ภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา2558จำนวน 36 คน
3.5 ระยะเวลาในการสำรวจ วันที่ 1-14 พฤศจิกายน 2558
