กรรม 12 ประการ

กรรมนิยาม คือ กฎการให้ผลของกรรม หรือกฎธรรมชาติเกี่ยวกับพฤติกรรมของมนุษย์ คือกระบวนการที่ก่อให้เกิดการกระทำและการให้ผลของการกระทำ มี 2 ประการคือ การกระทำดี ย่อมได้รับผลดี กระทำชั่วย่อมได้รับผลชั่ว

กรรม ๑๒ กรรม หมายถึง การกระทำที่ประกอบด้วยเจตนา ทั้งกรรมดีและกรรมชั่ว จะก่อให้เกิดกรรมดีเมื่อมีเจตนาจะทำความดี และจะก่อให้เกิดกรรมชั่วเมื่อมีเจตนาจะทำความชั่ว ในที่นี้ หมายถึง กรรมประเภทต่าง ๆ พร้อมทั้งหลักเกณฑ์เกี่ยวกับการให้ผลของกรรมเหล่านั้นกรรม ๑๒ แบ่งออกเป็น ๓ หมวดใหญ่ ๆ แต่ละหมวดแบ่งย่อยออกเป็น ๔ ดังนี้คือ

๑.๒ อุปัตถัมภกกรรม กรรมสนับสนุนหรืออุปถัมภ์
๑.๓ อุปปีฬกกรรม กรรมบีบคั้นหรือเบียดเบียน
๑.๔ อุปฆาตกรรม กรรมตัดรอน

๒.๑ ครุกรรม กรรมหนัก
๒.๒ พหุกรรม หรือ อาจิณกรรม กรรมที่ทำจนเคยชิน
๒.๓ อาสันกรรม หรือ ยาสันนกรรม กรรมเมื่อจวนเจียนจะตาย ระลึกเมื่อก่อนตาย
๒.๔ กตัตตากรรม หรือ กตัตตาวาปนกรรม กรรมสักแต่ว่าทำ

๓.๑ ทิฏฐฏธรรมเวทนียกรรม กรรมที่ให้ผลในชาตินี้

๓.๓ อปราปรเวทนียกรรม หรือ อปรปริยายเวทนียกรรม กรรมที่ให้ผลในชาติต่อ ๆ ไป
๓.๔ อโหสิกรรม กรรมที่ให้ผลเสร็จแล้ว (เลิกให้ผล)

คนเราที่มาเกิด ก็เนื่องจากกรรมที่ตนเองได้เคยสร้างไว้ในอดีตชาติ บันดาลให้มาเกิดตามเหตุปัจจัยที่ได้สะสมไว้ อันเป็นพลังอำนาจของกรรมที่เรียกว่า “ชนกกรรม” หรือกรรมที่พาให้เกิด
เมื่อกรรมบันดาลให้ไปเกิดในครรภ์ที่ออกลูกเป็นตัว
(ชลาพุชะ) ถ้าเป็นกรรมฝ่ายดี ก็จะเกิดเป็นคน
ถ้าเป็นกรรมฝ่ายชั่ว ก็จะไปเกิดเป็นสัตว์เดรัจฉาน เช่น หมี หมา ช้าง ม้า วัว ควาย เป็นต้น
ถ้ากรรมบันดาลให้เกิดในไข่ คือ ออกไข่ เป็นฟอง แล้ว จึงฟักออกเป็นตัว(อัณฑชะ)
ถ้าเป็นกรรมฝ่ายดี ก็จะเกิดเป็น ครุฑ
ถ้าเป็นกรรมฝ่ายชั่ว ก็จะเกิดเป็น แร้ง กา นก เป็ด ไก่ เป็นต้น
ถ้าเป็นกรรมบันดาลให้เกิดในไคลที่ชื้นแฉะ สกปรก(สังเสทชะ)
ถ้าเป็นกรรมฝ่ายดีเกิดเป็นเลน ไร ฯลฯ
ถ้าเป็นกรรมฝ่ายชั่ว ก็เกิดเป็นหนอน
ถ้ากรรมบันดาลให้เกิดผุดขึ้น คือ ผุดขึ้นมาและโตเต็มตัวในทันใด แม้เมื่อตายก็ยังไม่ต้องมีเชื้อหรือซากปรากฏ (โอปปาติกะ)
ถ้าเป็นกรรมฝ่ายดีก็จะเป็น เทพ เทวดา รวมทั้งมนุษย์บางจำพวก เช่น คนธรรพ์ คนลับแล ฯลฯ
ถ้าเป็นกรรมฝ่ายชั่ว ก็จะเป็น สัตว์นรก เปรต อสูรกาย ยักษ์ ฯลฯ

คนเรานี้เกิดมาเป็นคนเหมือนกัน แต่ทว่าไม่เหมือนกัน บางคนร่ำรวย บางคนยากจน บางคนมีปัญญา บางคนโง่เขลา บางคนกลับเป็นบ้า
บางคนมีอายุสั้น บางคนมีอายุยืน
บางคนมีโรคมาก บางคนมีโรคน้อย
บางคนมีผิวพรรณงาม บางคนมีผิวพรรณทราม
บางคนเกิดในตระกูลสูง บางคนเกิดในตระกูลต่ำ
เหล่านี้ล้วนเป็นพลังอำนาจของกรรมทั้งสิ้น

คนที่มีอายุสั้นนั้น เป็นคนที่มักสร้างกรรม ฆ่าสัตว์ตัดชีวิต เป็นคนเหี้ยมโหด มือเปื้อนเลือด หมกมุ่นในการฆ่า ไม่มีเมตตาเอ็นดูในชีวิตของผู้อื่น
คนที่มีอายุยืนนั้น เป็นผู้เว้นจากการฆ่า มีความละอายต่อบาป มีความเมตตา ชอบช่วยเหลือและอนุเคราะห์แก่สัตว์ทั้งหลาย
คนที่มีโรคมากนั้น เป็นผู้ที่ชอบสร้างกรรม ชอบเบียดเบียนและทำร้ายสัตว์
คนที่มีโรคน้อยนั้น เป็นผู้ที่มีเมตตา ไม่เบียดเบียนสัตว์
ผู้ที่มีพิวพรรณทรามนั้น เป็นคนขี้โกรธ พยาบาทมาดร้าย แค้นเคือง แม้แต่ถูกว่าเล็กๆ น้อยๆ ก็ขัดใจแก้แค้น
ผู้ที่มีผิวพรรณงานนั้น เป็นคนใจเย็น ไม่ค่อยถือสาโทษโกรธเคือง ไม่ผูกเจ็บพยาบาท มองโลกในแง่ดี และให้อภัยใครได้เสมอ
คนที่มีอำนาจบารมีน้อย เพราะเป็นคนมีใจริษยา อิจฉาผู้อื่นที่เขาได้ลาภ สักการะ ยศตำแหน่ง ความเคารพนับถือมากกว่าตน
คนที่มีอำนาจบารมีมากนั้น เป็นคนที่มักยินดีที่คนอื่นได้ดีกว่าตน ไม่อิจฉาริษยา แต่กลับส่งเสริมและยอมรับในบารมีของผู้อื่น
บุคคลที่เป็นคนจน มีโภคทรัพย์น้อย เป็นเพราะไม่ชอบทำทาน ไม่รู้จักให้ เป็นคนเห็นแก่ได้ ชอบลักเล็กขโมยน้อย คอรับชั่น เอารัดเอาเปรียบผู้อื่น
บุคคลที่เป็นเศรษฐี มีทรัพย์สินเงินทองมากนั้น เป็นเพราะมีความเชื่อ ศรัทธา ให้ทานอย่างสม่ำเสมอเป็นประจำ เป็นคนที่ให้กับให้ ชอบช่วยเหลือสละทรัพย์เพื่อสังคมไม่เอาของคนอื่น
