อยู่ในเขตเทศบาลเมืองอุดรธานี หนองประจักษ์เป็นหนองน้ำขนาดใหญ่ มีมาตั้งแต่ก่อนตั้งเมืองอุดรธานี เดิมเรียกว่า"หนองนาเกลือ" ตั้งอยู่ทางทิศตะวันตกของตัวเมือง ต่อมาได้เปลี่ยนชื่อเป็น "หนองประจักษ์" เพื่อเป็นเกียรติประวัติแก่พลตรีพระเจ้าบรมวงศ์เธอ กรมหลวงประจักษ์ศิลปาคมผู้ทรงก่อตั้งเมืองอุดรธานี ต่อมาในปี พ.ศ. 2530 เทศบาลเมืองอุดรธานี ได้ทำการปรับปรุงหนองประจักษ์ขึ้นใหม่ เพื่อถวายเป็นราชสักการะแก่พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว รัชกาลที่ 9 เนื่องในวโรกาสทรงเจริญพระชนมพรรษาครบ 5 รอบ โดยบริเวณตัวเกาะกลางน้ำได้จัดทำสวนหย่อมปลูกไม้ดอกไม้ประดับหลายชนิด และทำสะพานเชื่อมระหว่างเกาะมีน้ำพุ หอนาฬิกา และสวนเด็กเล่น แต่ละวันจะมีประชาชนเข้าไปพักผ่อนและออกกำลังกายกันเป็นจำนวนมาก
