8. วัดโทไดจิ วัดโทไดจิ (Todaiji Temple) วัดพุทธที่สำคัญและเก่าแก่ที่สุดของเมืองนารา ได้ชื่อว่าเป็นสิ่งก่อสร้างด้วยไม้ที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในโลก อีกทั้งยังได้รับการขึ้นทะเบียนเป็นมรดกโลกร่วมกับศาลเจ้าและสถานที่สำคัญของเมืองนาราอีก 7 แห่ง ภายในวัดมี หอไดบุทสึ (Daibutsuden) หรือวิหารไม้ที่ได้ชื่อว่าใหญ่ที่สุดในโลก เป็นที่ประดิษฐานพระพุทธรูปไดบุทสึหล่อสำริดขนาดใหญ่ สูง 14.98 เมตร น้ำหนักราว 500 ตัน หล่อโดยช่างสมัยเท็มเปียว (729-764)
