ช่วงเวลาในการฝึกงานคือตั้งแต่วันจันทร์ที่ 15 มีนาคม 2553 จนถึงวันศุกร์ที่ 21 พฤษภาคม 2553 ที่หน่วยปฏิบัติการวิจัยเทคโนโลยีเครือข่าย (Network Technology Laboratory หรือ NTL) ซึ่งอยู่ภายใต้การดูแลของศูนย์เทคโนโลยีอิเล็กทรอนิกส์และคอมพิวเตอร์แห่งชาติ (National Electronics and Computer Technology Center หรือ NECTEC) โดยเริ่มงานเวลา 08.00 น. และเลิกงานเวลา 17.00 น. พักกลางวันหนึ่งชั่วโมงตั้งแต่เวลา 12.00 น. ถึง 13.00 น. (คิดเป็นเวลาทางานวันละ 8 ชั่วโมง) ทุกวันจันทร์ถึงศุกร์ มีวันหยุดตามวันหยุดราชการ
เนื่องจากผลกระทบจากปัญหาบ้านเมืองทาให้กาหนดการเลิกฝึกงานถูกเลื่อนออกไปเป็นวันอังคารที่ 25 พฤษภาคม 2553 คิดเป็นเวลาทางาน 10 สัปดาห์ (42 วัน) คิดเป็นชั่วโมงทางานทั้งสิ้น 332 ชั่วโมง
ทางหน่วยปฏิบัติการวิจัยเทคโนโลยีเครือข่ายได้จัดเตรียมสถานที่ทางานสาหรับนิสิตฝึกงานไว้เรียบร้อยแล้ว โดยให้นิสิตนักศึกษาที่มาฝึกงานกับหน่วยปฏิบัติการฯ ทุกคน (ประมาณ 25 คน) นั่งรวมกัน โต๊ะทางานแต่ละโต๊ะนั่งได้สองคนและถูกแบ่งด้วยคอกกั้น ทาให้สภาพการทางานไม่แออัดและเงียบสงบ มีความเป็นส่วนตัว ทาให้มีสมาธิในการทางาน ผู้ควบคุมดูแลการฝึกงานจะคอยให้คาแนะนาและเปิดโอกาสให้

นิสิตนักศึกษาที่มาฝึกงานสามารถเข้าไปปรึกษาได้ตลอดเวลา นอกจากนี้ยังมีการประชุมเพื่อรายงานความคืบหน้าในการทางานให้พี่ๆ ผู้ดูแลการฝึกงาน และเพื่อนๆ นิสิตนักศึกษาที่มาฝึกงานได้รับทราบและแสดงเห็นอีกด้วย
