โครงการชั่งหัวมันฯสิ่งมหัศจรรย์จากความร่วมมือ
พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว ทรงมีพระราชดำริให้รวบรวมพันธุ์พืชเศรษฐกิจในพื้นที่ อ.ท่ายาง จ.เพชรบุรี และพื้นที่ใกล้เคียงมาปลูกไว้ ณ “โครงการชั่งหัวมัน ตามพระราชดำริ” เพื่อพัฒนาส่งเสริมอาชีพเกษตรกรรมและส่งเสริมให้ “พืชเศรษฐกิจ” ของไทยไม่สูญหายไป

“โครงการชั่งหัวมัน ตามพระราชดำริ” นับเป็นโครงการในพระราชดำริล่าสุด ในพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว เริ่มดำเนินการตั้งแต่ พ.ศ.2552 เป็นต้นมา โดยในวันที่ 1 สิงหาคม พ.ศ.2552 เสด็จพระราชดำเนินมาทรงเปิดป้ายโครงการด้วยพระองค์เอง และทรงขับรถยนต์ทอดพระเนตรภายในโครงการ
