การศึกษาพื้นที่ที่เหมาะสมและพื้นที่เสี่ยงวาตภัยการปลูกทุเรียน จังหวัดจันทบุรี โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์คือ 1)เพื่อค้นหาปัจจัยที่เหมาะสมและความเสี่ยงวาตภัย 2)เพื่อวิเคราะห์หาพื้นที่ที่เหมาะสมและความเสี่ยงวาตภัยข้อมูลที่ใช้ ได้แก่ การระบายน้ำในดิน,ฟอสฟอรัสในดิน,โพแทสเซียมในดิน,สภาพความเป็นกรด – ด่างในดิน,ความลึกในดิน,ความสูงจากระดับทะเลปานกลาง, อุณหภูมิ,ความชื้นสัมพัทธ์,ปริมาณน้ำฝน,ความลาดชัน ,แหล่งน้ำ,การใช้ประโยชน์ที่ดิน ปัจจัยด้านภัยพิบัติ ได้แก่ วาตภัย ค้นหาปัจจัยจากทฤษฎีกระบวนการตัดสินใจเชิงลำดับชั้น(AHP)ผลการวิจัยพบว่าระดับความสำคัญของปัจจัยที่มีความเหมาะสมต่อพื้นที่การปลูกทุเรียน จังหวัดจันทบุรี ได้แก่ การระบายน้ำ(0.14) อุณหภูมิเฉลี่ย(0.14)ความชื้นสัมพัทธ์ (0.14) ระยะห่างจากแหล่งน้ำ (0.11) ตามลำดับ ผลลัพธ์ที่ได้ คือ พื้นที่ที่มีความเหมาะสมและพื้นที่เสี่ยงวาตภัยการปลูกทุเรียน จังหวัดจันทบุรี ตามความเหมาะสม พื้นที่เหมาะสมจะแปรผันตรงกับปัจจัยภูมิประเทศ และแปรผกผันกับปัจจัยภัยพิบัติวาตภัย ผลการวิจัยที่ได้สามารถเสนอแนะและกำหนดแนวทางเพื่อลดปัญหาพื้นที่ปลูกทุเรียนจังหวัดจันทบุรีที่ลดลง
