การศึกษาครั้งนี้ เป็นการศึกษาเชิงพรรณ โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อการศึกษาปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์ต่อพฤติกรรมการใช้ยาที่ไม่เหมาะสมในผู้ป่วยเบาหวานชนิดที่ 2 ที่เข้ารับบริการในคลินิกพิเศษ คลินิกโรคเบาหวาน โรงพยาบาลทุ่งหัวช้าง อำเภอทุ่งหัวช้าง จังหวัดลำพูน โดยการศึกษาจากกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่เข้ารับบริการในคลินิกพิเศษ คลินิกโรคเบาหวาน จำนวน 225 คน เก็บข้อมูลด้วยแบบสอบถามข้อมูลส่วนบุคลและพฤติกรรมการใช้ยา วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้ค่าสถิติร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานและค่าทดสอบไคสแควร์
ผลการศึกษาพบว่า พฤติกรรมการใช้ยาของผู้ป่วยเบาหวานชนิดที่ 2 ที่เข้ารับบริการในคลินิกพิเศษคลินิกโรคเบาหวาน โรงพยาบาลทุ่งหัวช้างนั้นอยู่ในระดี ร้อยละ 72.4 ระดับปานกลาง ร้อยละ25.8และระดับที่น้อยร้อยละ1.8
และพบว่าปัจจัยทางด้านเพศ,อายุ,ระดับการศึกษา,รายได้,สิทธิการรักษา,ระยะเวลาการเจ็บป่วย,จำนวนชนิดของยาที่ใช้ในการรักษาและข้อมูลข่าวสารที่ได้รับมีความสัมพันธ์กับพฤติกรรมการใช้ยาที่ไม่เหมาะสมอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.05
