ผลการศึกษาพบว่าผู้ป่วยเบาหวานส่วนใหญ่เป็นเพศหญิง ร้อยละ83.7 อายุเฉลี่ย 58.44 (SD=11.70) สถานภาพสมรส ร้อยละ 60.5 การศึกษาประถมศึกษา ร้อยละ 88.4 อาชีพเกษตรกร ร้อยละ 36.8 รายได้ของครอบครัวต่อเดือนเฉลี่ย 4,197.67(SD=3,251.48) ระดับน้ำตาลในเลือด FBS เฉลี่ย 125.37(SD=23.97)ส่วนใหญ่ระดับ 100-125 mg/dl ร้อยละ 46.5 และมีระดับ HbA1c ในเลือดเฉลี่ย 7.14(SD=1.27) มีความรู้อยู่ในระดับสูง ร้อยละ 86.0 ทัศนคติปานกลางร้อยละ 51.20 จากการวิเคราะห์หาความสัมพันธ์ พบว่าปัจจัยด้านลักษณะส่วนบุคคล อายุ สถานภาพสมรส ศาสนา ระดับการศึกษา พฤติกรรมการบริโภคอาหาร และความรู้เกี่ยวกับโรคเบาหวาน มีความสัมพันธ์กับระดับน้ำตาลเฉลี่ยในเลือดในผู้ป่วยเบาหวาน ( HbA1C) ครั้งที่ 1 ในทางบวกอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .01 (r=0.396, 0.539, 0.492, 0.354, 0.430, 0.469 ) ตามลำดับ ส่วนอาชีพ รายได้ และความสำคัญของการรักษา มีความสัมพันธ์อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 (r=0.336, 0.324,0.302) ตามลำดับ
