สมองแบ่งออกเป็น 3 ส่วนได้แก่ สมองส่วนหน้า สมองส่วนกลาง และสมองส่วนหลังแต่ละส่วนมีการควบคุมการทำงานของร่างกายแตกต่างกันออกไป ดังภาพที่ 8-20
