วัตถุประสงค์
1. ศึกษาค้นคว้าวิจัยทางวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่นทุกสาขา เพื่อเป็นข้อมูลพื้นฐานของวิถีชีวิตชุมชน นำผลวิจัยมาจัดระบบเครือข่ายข้อมูลและทำการเผยแพร่แลกเปลี่ยน

2. จัดระบบข้อมูลแหล่งศิลปกรรมท้องถิ่น ส่งเสริมการฟื้นฟูอนุรักษ์แหล่งศิลปกรรมท้องถิ่นอย่างต่อเนื่อง
