ชนาธิป ซ้อนขำ เป็นชาวจังหวัดพัทลุง เป็นลูกสาวของนายคำนึง และนางณัฐชยา ซ้อนขำ มีพี่น้อง 3 คน โดยเป็นน้องคนสุดท้อง สำเร็จการศึกษาจากคณะวิทยาศาสตร์การกีฬา จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย[2] ทั้งนี้ ชนาธิปได้เข้าร่วมแข่งขันกีฬาเทควันโดในโอลิมปิกฤดูร้อน 2012 ประเภทหญิง รุ่นน้ำหนักไม่เกิน 49 กก. โดยมีโค้ชชเว ยองซอก เป็นผู้ฝึกสอน[1]

ชนาธิปเป็นที่รู้จักในวงการเทควันโดอย่างกว้างขวาง และเธอเป็นแรงบันดาลใจให้วรวงษ์ พงษ์พานิช เริ่มเล่นเทควันโด นอกจากนี้ ชนาธิปยังเป็นผู้ประสบความสำเร็จในการแข่งขันระดับนานาชาติหลายรายการ โดยได้รับเหรียญทองจากรายการเยาวชนชิงแชมป์เอเชีย 2007 ครั้งที่ 4 ที่ประเทศจอร์แดน, เหรียญเงินเยาวชนชิงแชมป์โลก 2008 ที่ประเทศตุรกี และเหรียญทองแดงกีฬามหาวิทยาลัยโลกฤดูร้อน 2009 ที่ประเทศเซอร์เบีย[7] ต่อมาเมื่อวันที่ 17 กรกฎาคม พ.ศ. 2556 ชนาธิปยังคว้าเหรียญทอง ในการแข่งขันเทควันโดชิงแชมป์โลก ที่ประเทศเม็กซิโก โดยในรอบชิงชนะเลิศเธอเป็นฝ่ายชนะดานา ตูราน นักเทควันโดจากประเทศจอร์แดน ด้วยคะแนน 13-0 [8]

ในการแข่งขันเอเชียนเกมส์ 2014 ที่เมืองอินชอน ประเทศเกาหลีใต้ ชนาธิปได้รับเหรียญทอง ในประเภทเทควันโดหญิงน้ำหนักไม่เกิน 49 กิโลกรัม เมื่อเป็นฝ่ายเอาชนะ หลี่ เสี่ยวยี่ จากจีนไป 10-3 คะแนน[9][10]
