ในการเรียนการสอนของห้องเรียนพิเศษวิทยาศาสตร์-คณิตศาสตร์ ได้มีวิชาเพิ่มเติมอีกคือวิชาการเขียนการวิจัยและวิชาโครงงาน โดยเริ่มจากชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4 ได้มีการเรียนฝึกให้นักเรียนเขียนโครงเรื่องของงานวิจัยที่นักเรียนสนใจ เพื่อให้มาต่อยอดในชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ในวิชาโครงงาน ในวิชานี้ได้มีการปฏิบัติจริงโดยให้นักเรียนแบ่งกลุ่มและแบ่งกันทำโครงงานในสาขาฟิสิกส์ เคมี ชีวะ และคณิตศาสตร์ ฉันได้ทำโครงงานเกี่ยวกับวิชาเคมี โครงงานของฉันเกี่ยวกับการตรวจสอบโลหะหนักที่ปนอยู่ในเนื้อปลาจากแม่น้ำในจังหวัดพระนครศรีอยุธยา เพื่อสำรวจคุณภาพของปลาในแม่น้ำว่าสามารถนำมาใช้รับประทานได้หรือไม่ หรือมีการปนเปื้อนของโลหะหนักมากน้อยเพียงใด เมื่อได้เข้าเรียนในห้องเรียนพิเศษวิทยาศาสตร์และได้ทำกิจกรรมต่างๆ ทำให้ฉันมีความสนใจในการเรียนวิทยาศาสตร์มากยิ่งขึ้น และอยากจะศึกษาต่อด้านนี้
