ระดับการรู้สึกตัว แบ่งเป็นระดับต่างๆตามความรุนแรงจากน้อยไปหามากได้ดังนี้
ตื่นรู้ตัวปกติ (Alert)
ง่วงซึมเล็กน้อย (Drowsiness)
ซึมลึกต้องปลุกแรงๆ (Stuporous) และ
ไม่รู้ตัว (Coma)
