การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) เพื่อศึกษาพฤติกรรมสารสนเทศและปัญหาการแสวงหาสารสนเทศของนักศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 4 มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลอีสาน วิทยาเขตสุรินทร์ และ2) เพื่อศึกษาเปรียบเทียบพฤติกรรมสารสนเทศและปัญหาการแสวงหาสารสนเทศชองนักศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 4 มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลอีสาน วิทยาเขตสุรินทร์กลุ่มตัวอย่างคือ นักศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 4 มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลอีสาน วิทยาเขตสุรินทร์จำนวน 284 คนเลือกมาแบบแบ่งชั้นหลายขั้นตอน (Stratified Random Sampling) วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้โปรแกรมวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลสำเร็จรูปทางสังคมศาสตร์ สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล คือ สถิติเชิงพรรณนา ได้แก่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน สถิติทดสอบสมมติฐานทดสอบสมมติฐานโดยใช้สถิติที (Independent sample t – test) วิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวนทางเดียว (One Way ANOVA) เปรียบเทียบโดยใช้วิธีชองเชฟเฟ่ (Scheffe's method). นำเสนอข้อมูลในรูปตารางประกอบคำบรรยาย และวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงคุณภาพด้วยการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา (Content analysis) นำเสนอข้อมูลเชิงบรรยาย
