วิทยานิพนธ์เล่มนี้มุ่งหมายศึกษาเกี่ยวกับมาตรการฉลากคาร์บอนฟุตพริ้นท์ อันเป็นมาตรการทางสิ่งแวดล้อมที่เป็นตัวบ่งชี้และเป็นเครื่องมือประการหนึ่งในการช่วยรักษาสภาพสิ่งแวดล้อมและสภาพภูมิอากาศไว้จากปัญหาวิกฤตภาวะโลกร้อน โดยผู้ที่มีส่วนทำให้เกิดวิกฤตการณ์เรือนกระจกโดยตรง อีกทั้งยังเป็นมาตรการที่ส่งผลในทางการค้าระหว่างประเทศได้เป็นอย่างมาก
โดยการใช้เป็นมาตรการกีดกันทางการค้า ซึ่งไม่ขัดต่อหลักการห้ามไม่ให้มีอุปสรรคทางการค้าระหว่างประเทศขององค์การการค้าโลก ในประเทศต่างๆ จึงมีแนวโน้มจะนำมาตรการฉลากคาร์บอน

และเสนอแนะแนวทางเมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับต่างประเทศในการนำมาตรการคาร์บอนฟุตพริ้นท์มาใช้
เพื่อประโยชน์ในทางการค้าระหว่างประเทศ
