ทักษะที่ 13 การตีความหมายข้อมูลและลงข้อสรุป (Interperting Data and Making)
ความหมาย : เป็นการแปลความหมายหรือบรรยายลักษณะข้อมูลที่มีอยู่ การตีความหมายของข้อมูล ในบางครั้งอาจต้องใช้ทักษะอื่น ๆ ด้วย เช่น การสังเกต การคำนวน เป็นต้น และการลงข้อสรุป หมายถึง การสรุปความสัมพันธ์ของข้อมูลทั้งหมด การลงข้อสรุป สามารถทำได้ 2 ระดับ คือ
1. การสรุปในระดับแคบ คือ การสรุปให้อยู่เฉพาะกลุ่มตัวอย่างหรือสิ่งที่นำมาศึกษา
2. การสรุปในระดับกว้าง คือ การสรุปที่ออกนอกขอบเขตของกลุ่มตัวอย่างแต่เป็นการขยายกว้างไปสู่ประชากรหรือกลุ่มใหญ่ ข้อสรุปนี้มีความเชื่อถือได้น้อยกว่าแบบแรก
