7.1 (ASEAN Surveillance Process) ขึ้น เมื่อวันที่ 4 ตุลาคม 2541 เพื่อสอดส่องดูแลสภาวะเศรษฐกิจและการเคลื่อนย้ายเงินทุนในภูมิภาค โดยให้มีการหารือและแลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับภาวะเศรษฐกิจในประเทศสมาชิกในภูมิภาค และในโลกโดยธนาคารพัฒนาเอเชีย (ADB) ได้สนับสนุนและให้ความช่วยเหลือทางวิชาการและเงินทุนโดยการจัดการฝึกอบรมด้านเทคนิคแก่เจ้าหน้าที่ประเทศสมาชิก และในการจัดตั้ง ASEAN Surveillance Technical Support Unit ในสำนักงานเลขาธิการอาเซียนเพื่อสนับสนุนระบบดังกล่าว

7.3 (Chiang Mai Initiative) ซึ่งได้จัดตั้งขึ้นเมื่อวันที่ 6 พฤษภาคม 2543 เป็นการปรับปรุงความตกลง (ASEAN Swap Arrangement – ASA) ในด้านโครงสร้าง รูปแบบและวงเงิน และให้เสริมด้วยเครือข่ายความตกลงทวิภาคีระหว่างประเทศอาเซียนกับจีน ญี่ปุ่นและสาธารณรัฐเกาหลี (Bilateral Swap Arrangment-BSA) โดยได้ขยายให้ ASA รวมประเทศอาเซียนทั้ง 10 ประเทศแล้ว
