อุทยานแห่งชาติอ่าวพังงา นับเป็นอุทยานแห่งชาติลำดับที่ 25 ของประเทศไทย มีพื้นที่ครอบคลุมในท้องที่อำเภอตะกั่วทุ่ง อำเภอเมือง อำเภอเกาะยาว จังหวัดพังงา เป็นอุทยานแห่งชาติประเภทชายฝั่งทะเล มีความงดงามของทิวทัศน์ ชายฝั่ง และทิวทัศน์เหนือผิวน้ำ อุดมสมบูรณ์ด้วยป่าชายเลน ประกอบด้วยเกาะทางด้านทิศตะวันออกของเกาะภูเก็ตประมาณ 40 เกาะ และเอกลักษณ์ทางธรรมชาติที่สวยงาม เช่น เขาพิงกัน เขาตะปู ถ้ำลอด รวมทั้งหาดทรายสวยงาม
