งานห่มผ้าพระเจดีย์กลางน้ำ เป็นงานประเพณีจัดขึ้นเป็นประจำทุกปี ในช่วงวันเพ็ญเดือน 12 ณ วัดปากน้ำ อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดระยอง โดยทางจังหวัดระยองถือว่า พระเจดีย์กลางน้ำนั้นเป็นสัญลักษณ์ของจังหวัดระยอง และเป็นสิ่งที่ชาวระยองเคารพนับถือ โดยรวบรวมงานลอยกระทงไว้ด้วย ทั้งนี้ชาวระยองเชื่อกันว่าการห่มผ้าพระเจดีย์จะได้บุญกุศลอย่างมาก และจัดงานเพียงปีละครั้งเท่านั้น ชาวบ้านในแต่ละอำเภอจะรวมเงินกันซื้อผ้าห่ม โดยผ้าที่จะนำมาห่มพระเจดีย์ต้องเป็นผ้าสีแดง มีความยาว 6 เมตร ใช้คน 2 คนปีนขึ้นไปห่มส่วนบนของเจดีย์ ซึ่งงานประเพณีนี้ถือว่าเป็นการทำบุญร่วมกัน บางปีมีการห่มผ้าพระเจดีย์ซ้อนทับกันหลายผืนเลยทีเดียว แต่ก่อนชาวบ้านจะพายเรือมาทอดกฐินเป็นขบวนยาวเต็มแม่น้ำระยอง เริ่มจากวัดปากน้ำไปถึงพระเจดีย์กลางน้ำ แล้วนำผ้าแดงไปห่มพระเจดีย์ แต่ปัจจุบันน้ำตื้นเขิน เดินทางไม่สะดวก จึงเปลี่ยนเป็นริ้วขบวนรถที่ตกแต่งอย่างสวยงามแทน
