อุทยานแห่งชาติอ่าวพังงา ตั้งอยู่บริเวณชายฝั่งทะเลอันดามันของประเทศไทยในท้องที่อำเภอเมืองพังงา อำเภอตะกั่วทุ่ง และอำเภอเกาะยาว มีพื้นที่ประมาณ 250,000 ไร่ ส่วนใหญ่เป็นทะเล และเกาะน้อยใหญ่ มีเขาหินปูนลักษณะต่าง ๆ ที่มีความงามแตกต่างกันไปตามลักษณะของหิน สมบูรณ์ด้วยป่าชายเลน และยังเป็นแหล่งขยายพันธุ์สัตว์น้ำอีกด้วย โดยได้รับการประกาศให้เป็นเขตอุทยานแห่งชาติ เมื่อวันที่ 29 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2524
