การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างคุณลักษณะอันพึงประสงค์กับผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ปีการศึกษา 2557 โรงเรียนเทศบาล 3 (วัดศาลาหัวยาง) จังหวัดสงขลา ประชากรที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ นักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 โรงเรียนเทศบาล 3 (วัดศาลาหัวยาง) จังหวัดสงขลา ทุกปีการศึกษา กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ นักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ปีการศึกษา 2557 โรงเรียนเทศบาล 3 (วัดศาลาหัวยาง) จังหวัดสงขลา จำนวน 117 คน โดยศึกษาจากกลุ่มตัวอย่างทั้งหมด การเก็บรวมรวบข้อมูล การวิจัยครั้งนี้ใช้ข้อมูลทุติยภูมิที่ได้จากแบบกรอกคะแนนคุณลักษณะอันพึงประสงค์ และแบบกรอกคะแนนผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน 5 รายวิชาพื้นฐานได้แก่ วิชาภาษาไทย วิชาคณิตศาสตร์ วิชาวิทยาศาสตร์ วิชาสังคมศึกษา ศาสนา และวัฒนธรรม และวิชาภาษาอังกฤษ สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลประกอบด้วย ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (S.D.) สัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์แบบเพียร์สัน (r) ผลการวิจัย พบว่า
1.ผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน 5 รายวิชาพื้นฐานของนักเรียน โดยวิชาภาษาอังกฤษ มีคะแนนเฉลี่ยสูงสุดอยู่ที่ 69.09 และวิชาคณิตศาสตร์ มีคะแนนเฉลี่ยต่ำสุด อยู่ที่ 58.52 ค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน 10.47 ตามลำดับ คะแนนเฉลี่ยรวม 5 รายวิชาพื้นฐาน 66.00 และค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน 9.18
2.คุณลักษณะอันพึงประสงค์ของนักเรียน เมื่อพิจารณารายด้าน พบว่า รักชาติ ศาสน์ กษัตริย์ มีคะแนนเฉลี่ยสูงสูด อยู่ที่ 21.93 ค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน 0.25 และมุ่งมั่นในการทำงาน มีคะแนนเฉลี่ยต่ำสุด อยู่ที่ 17.78 ค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน 2.18 ตามลำดับ
3.คุณลักษณะอันพึงประสงค์ ได้แก่ ใฝ่เรียนรู้ และมุ่งมั่นในการทำงาน มีความสัมพันธ์ทางบวกกับผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน ในระดับสูงอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .01 มีจิตสาธารณะ มีวินัย และซื่อสัตย์สุจริต มีความสัมพันธ์ทางบวกกับผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน ในระดับปานกลาง อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ.01และ รักความเป็นไท และรักชาติ ศาสน์ กษัตริย์ มีความสัมพันธ์ทางบวกกับผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน ในระดับต่ำ อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .01 ตามลำดับ
