การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสำรวจเทคนิคการจำคำศัพท์รายบุคคล และรวบรวมเทคนิคที่ใช้บ่อยของนิสิตเพื่อนำไปต่อยอดสำหรับผู้ที่ต้องการศึกษาเพื่อเป็นแนวทางในการจำคำศัพท์ และสำหรับผู้สอนที่ต้องการแนวทางการใช้เทคนิคในการจำคำศัพท์เพื่อไปประยุกต์ใช้ในการถ่ายทอดความรู้ในสอน โดยประชากรที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ คือนิสิตชั้นปีที่ 4 ทั้งหมดของหลักสูตรการศึกษาบัณฑิต สาขาวิชาการศึกษาและ หลักสูตรศิลป์ศาสตร์บัณฑิต สาขาวิชาภาษาอังกฤษ ปีกาศึกษา 2558 จำนวน 140 คน โดยใช้แบบสอบถามที่ประยุกต์มาจากแบบสอบถาม SILL ของ Oxford (1990) เป็นเครื่องมือในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลได้แก่ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน,ค่าสูงสุดและ ค่าต่ำสุด สาหรับการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลทางสถิติใช้โปรแกรมสำเร็จรูป Microsoft Excel
