ด้วยสำนักวิชาการเสนอรายชื่อนักศึกษาผู้กระทำผิดวินัยนักศึกษาถึงคณะกรรมการกิจการนักศึกษาเพื่อดำเนินการสอบสวนและพิจารณาโทษทางวินัยกรณีปลอมแปลงเอกสาร Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) ของนักศึกษาจำนวน 1 คน ได้แก่ Mr.Zaw Ban
คณะกรรมการกิจการนักศึกษา ได้ดำเนินการสอบสวนตามระเบียบมหาวิทยาลัยชินวัตร ว่าด้วย วินัยนักศึกษา ปี 2009 โดยในการประชุม ครั้งที่ 7/2016 เมื่อวันที่ 6 กันยายน 2016 ที่ประชุมมีมติว่า Mr.Zaw Ban ได้ประพฤติตนผิดระเบียบฯ โดยการปลอมแปลงเอกสารผลการทดสอบภาษาอังกฤษ Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) ยื่นประกอบการขอสำเร็จการศึกษาต่อมหาวิทยาลัย แต่เนื่องจาก Mr.Zaw Ban ได้ยอมรับผิดและให้ข้อมูลที่เป็นประโยชน์ต่อมหาวิทยาลัย คณะกรรมการกิจการนักศึกษาจึงมีมติพิจารณาโทษ Mr.Zaw Ban โดยให้พักการศึกษาเป็นเวลา 1 ปีการศึกษา คือ ปีการศึกษา 2559และไม่อนุญาตให้ลงทะเบียนเรียน Advance English ของมหาวิทยาลัยและรับผลการสอบภาษาอังกฤษ IELTS เท่านั้น
