งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาและกำหนดวิธีการทำงานที่เป็นมาตรฐาน ให้กับแผนกตรวจสอบคุณภาพเสื้อผ้า
โดยใช้เทคนิคของการศึกษาการเคลื่อนไหวและเวลา
เพื่อศึกษาสภาพปัญหาและใช้หาแนวทางในการปรับปรุงวิธีการทำงานให้เป็นมาตรฐาน
ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้ได้ทำการบันทึกข้อมูล และวิเคราะห์กระบวนการและกิจกรรมในการทำงานด้วยแผนภูมิกระบวนการไหล และแผนภูมิคน-เครื่องจักร
พร้อมทั้งประยุกต์ใช้หลักการ ECRS ในการหาแนวทางเพื่อปรับปรุงวิธีการทำงาน
หลังจากการศึกษาวิธีการทำงานแล้วจึงได้จัดทำเวลามาตรฐานพร้อมกับปรับปรุงวิธีการทำงานในการปฏิบัติงาน
ส่งผลทำให้แผนกตรวจสอบคุณภาพเสื้อผ้าสามารถเพิ่มจำนวนเสื้อผ้าที่ตรวจสอบได้
จากเดิมมีเวลามาตรฐานเท่ากับ 233.43 วินาที/ชิ้น ลดลงเป็น 143.60วินาที/ชิ้น
และสามารถเพิ่มปริมาณเสื้อที่ทำการตรวจสอบจากเดิม 774 ชิ้น/วัน เพิ่มขึ้นเป็น 1,206 ชิ้น/วัน
ซึ่งเป็นไปตามเป้าหมายของทางบริษัทที่ได้กำหนดไว้คือไม่น้อยกว่า 1,200 ชิ้น/วัน
และมีประสิทธิภาพเพิ่มขึ้นจากเดิม 52.16% เป็น 54.44%
