การวิจัยในครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ คือ (1) เพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยตลาดบริการที่มีผลต่อการเลือกซื้อตั๋วโดยสารต้นทุนต่ำของนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลตะวันออก วิทยาเขตบางพระ (2) เพื่อเปรียบเทียบปัจจัยตลาดบริการที่มีผลต่อการเลือกซื้อตั๋วโดยสารต้นทุนต่ำของนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลตะวันออก วิทยาเขตบางพระกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ นักศึกมหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลตะวันนออก วิทยาเขตบางพระโดยใช้สูตรของ Taro Yamaneในการกำหนดกลุ่มตัวอย่างได้กลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวน 362 คน และใช้วิธีการเลือกกลุ่มตัวอย่างแบบบังเอิญ (Accident Sampling) เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในงานวิจัย คือ แบบสอบถาม ประกอบไปด้วย 3 ด้าน ได้แก่ (1) ด้านข้อมูลทั่วไปของผู้ตอบแบบสอบถาม (2)เป็นแบบสอบถามที่ให้ผู้ตอบเลือกตอบที่ถูกต้องตามข้อเท็จจริงมากที่สุด เพียงคำตอบเดียว (Multiple choice or check list question) (3)ด้านปัจจัยตลาดบริการที่มีผลต่อการเลือกซื้อตั๋วเครื่องบินโดยสารต้นทุนต่ำของนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลตะวันออก วิทยาเขตบางพร 7 ด้าน สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ค่าร้อยละ และสถิติทดสอบ t-test และวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวนแบบทิศทางเดียว (One Way Analysis of Variance)โดยใช้โปรแกรมสำเร็จรูปทางสถิติเพื่อการวิจัยสังคมศาสตร์




ผลการศึกษาพบว่า
(1) นักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลตะวันออก วิทยาเขตบางพระที่เป็นกลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวน 362 คน ส่วนใหญ่เป็นเพศหญิง มีอายุระหว่าง 19-21 ปีกำลังศึกษาอยู่ชั้นปีที่1 เป็นนักศึกษาคณะมนุษย์ศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์และเมื่อพิจารณาจากรายได้เฉลี่ยของผู้ปกครอง ส่วนใหญ่ ผู้ปกครองของนักศึกษามีรายได้ 30,001 ขึ้นไป
