ณ หมู่บ้านแห่ง มีสองแม่ลูกอาศัยอยู่ มีแม่และลูกสาวตัวเล็ก หน้าตาน่ารัก อัธยาศัยดี ทุกคนต่างก็เรียกเธอว่า 'หนูน้อยหมวกแดง' เพราะเธอมักจะสวมหมวกสีแดงอยู่เสมอ
