วัดระฆังโฆสิตารามวรมหาวิหาร หรือเป็นที่รู้จักกันในนาม วัดระฆัง เป็นพระอารามหลวงชั้นโท เดิมชื่อว่า “วัดบางว้าใหญ่” เป็นวัดโบราณมีมาตั้งแต่ครั้งกรุงศรีอยุธยา พระอุโบสถเป็นสถาปัตยกรรมในสมัยรัชกาลที่ 1 มีลายหน้าบันเป็นรูปนารายณ์ทรงครุฑ นอกจากนี้ ยังมีหอไตรเป็นรูปเรือนสามหลังแฝด ภายในมีภาพจิตรกรรมที่สำคัญหลายแห่งทั้งบานประตู และฝาผนังรวมทั้งตู้พระไตรปิฏกสมัยกรุงศรีอยุธยา

วัดระฆังเคยเป็นที่ประทับของสมเด็จพระพุฒาจารย์ (โต พรหมรังสี) สมเด็จพระราชาคณะในสมัยรัชกาลที่ 4 ซึ่งเป็นพระเถระผู้ทรงเกียรติคุณ วิทยาคุณโด่งดังมากแต่อดีตจวบจนปัจจุบัน การไปสักการะสมเด็จพุฒาจารย์ เพื่อขอพรโดยการสวดคาถาชินบัญชรเมื่อสวดจบแล้ว ปักธูปที่กระถางและปิดทองที่รูปปั้น แล้วอย่าลืมพรมน้ำมนต์เพื่อความเป็นสิริมงคล
