ประเพณีแซนโฎนตา หรือ แซนโดนตา เป็นประเพณีเซ่นไหว้บรรพบุรุษของเขมรชาวไทย เกี่ยวข้องกับพระพุทธศาสนา โดยเฉพาะชนชาวเขมรในเขตพื้นที่อีสานตอนใต้ จังหวัดศรีสะเกษ สุรินทร์ บุรีรัมย์ เพื่อแสดงความกตัญญูกตเวที ย้อนรำลึกถึงบรรพบุรุษผู้มีพระคุณ สืบสานขนบธรรมเนียมที่ลูกหลานต้องปฏิบัติต่อบิดามารดา ครูอาจารย์ และยึดหลักคำสอนทางพุืทธศาสนา

คำว่า "แซน" แปลว่า เซ่น ในภาษาไทย โดนตา เป็นคำนามที่ใช้เรียกบรรพบุรุษ หมายถึงญาติที่ล่วงลับไปแล้ว ในวันแรม 15 ค่ำเดือน 10 เป็นวันสาร์ทใหญ่ ชาวเขมรจะเตรียมการเป็นพิเศษ เพราะเป็นวันรวมญาติก็ว่าได้ ลูกหลานไปอยู่แห่งหนใดก็จะกลับมาทำพิธีนี้อย่างพร้อมเพรียง ส่วนวันขึ้น 15 ค่ำเดือนสิบก่อนหน้านี้ถือเป็นวันสาร์ทน้อย ชนชาวลาวจะถือเป็นวันสาร์ทของเขา
