มาตรา ๓๗ ผู้รับใบอนุญาตคนใด ใบอนุญาตสิ้นอายุและไม่ได้ต่ออายุอีก ต้องจัดการจำหน่ายอาวุธปืนหรือเครื่องกระสุนปืนที่มีอยู่ หรือส่งออกนอกราชอาณาจักรให้หมดภายในกำหนดหกเดือน นับแต่วันที่ใบอนุญาตสิ้นอายุในระหว่างเวลานั้น ถ้านายทะเบียนท้องที่เห็นสมควรเพื่อความสงบเรียบร้อยของประชาชน จะเรียกมาเก็บรักษาเสียเอง หรือเข้าควบคุมการเก็บรักษาก็ได้ แต่ต้องให้เจ้าของได้รับความสะดวกตามสมควรในอันที่จะจัดการจำหน่ายหรือส่งออกนอกราชอาณาจักรซึ่งอาวุธปืนหรือเครื่องกระสุนปืนนั้น
เมื่อครบกำหนดหกเดือนแล้ว ถ้ายังจำหน่ายหรือส่งออกนอกราชอาณาจักรไม่หมดให้ผู้รับใบอนุญาตส่งมอบอาวุธปืนและเครื่องกระสุนปืนที่เหลืออยู่แก่นายทะเบียนท้องที่ภายในกำหนดเจ็ดวัน
เมื่อได้รับมอบอาวุธปืนและเครื่องกระสุนปืนตามวรรคสองแล้ว ให้นายทะเบียนจัดการขายทอดตลาดอาวุธปืนและเครื่องกระสุนปืนนั้นภายหลังที่ได้ประกาศขายทอดตลาดและแจ้งให้เจ้าของทราบแล้วตามสมควร ได้เงินสุทธิเท่าใดให้ส่งมอบแก่เจ้าของ
