สหพันธ์ แบดมินตันนานาชาติ ( IBF) ได้กำหนดให้ ทดลองใช้ระบบการนับคะแนนการแข่งขันกีฬาแบดมินตันใหม่ ในระบบ 3 x 21 คะแนน ตั้งแต่ วันที่ 1 มกราคม 2549 เป็นต้นไป

รายละเอียดของกติกาการนับคะแนนมีดังนี้
