งานวิจัยฉบับนี้เป็นการศึกษาแนวทางในจัดการเพื่อลดขนส่งรถเที่ยวเปล่า โดยเริ่มจากการศึกษาปริมาณการขนส่งกุ้งขาว ซึ่งเป็นผลิตภัณฑ์หลักของ บูรพา ฟาร์ม เพื่อนำปริมาณการขนส่งที่เกิดขึ้น โดยในการศึกษาในครั้งนี้ ได้ทำการเก็บข้อมูล จำนวนเที่ยวรถที่ใช้ขนส่งกุ้งขาวของ บูรพา ฟาร์ม จากจังหวัดพังงา – สมุทรสาคร ตั้งแต่ เดือนตุลาคม 2556 ถึงเดือนกันยายน 2557 และทำการเก็บข้อมูลปริมาณการใช้อาหารกุ้งของเกษตรกรจำนวน 48 รายเพื่อนำข้อมูลมาที่ได้มาจัดตารางการขนส่งเที่ยวเปล่า จากการวิเคราะห์และเก็บข้อมูลพบว่า มีจำนวนการขนส่งรถทั้งหมด ในเดือนตุลาคม 2556 ถึงกันยายน 2557 ตลอดระยะเวลาเก็บข้อมูลทั้งสิ้น 358 เที่ยว ปริมาณความต้องการอาหารกุ้งทั้งหมด 2,528.8 ตัน มีความต้องการการส่งสินค้าเที่ยวกลับ (อาหารกุ้งขาว) พบว่าในช่วงเดือนเมษายนมีความต้องการการส่งสินค้าเที่ยวกลับ(อาหารกุ้งขาว)เกินกว่าจำนวนเที่ยวที่ขนส่งกุ้งขาวจากจังหวัดพังงา ถึง จังหวัดสมุทรสาคร จำนวน 21 เที่ยว และเที่ยวกลับจาก สมุทรสาคร – พังงา รวมทั้งหมด 188 เที่ยว จึงเกิดเป็นต้นทุนในการลดเชื้อเพลิงต่อเที่ยวอยู่ที่ 1985 โดยหาปริมาณการขนส่งเที่ยวไปรวมทั้งหมดจากจังหวัดพังงา– สมุทรสาคร มาหักกับปริมาณการขนส่งเที่ยวกลับ และจากสมุทรสาคร -พังงา จะได้ปริมาณการขนส่งเที่ยวเปล่ารวมทั้งหมด 170 เที่ยว โดยคิดเป็น เปอร์เซ็นต์ร้อยละ 52.51% รวมเฉลี่ยแล้วการลดต้นทุนเชื้อเพลิงในเดือน ตุลาคม 2556 ถึง กันยายน 2557 ทั้งสิ้น 373,180 บาท
