ปริญญานิพนธ์เล่มนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อผลิตสารคดีเกี่ยวกับสัตว์ โดยผู้ศึกษาทำการผลิตสารคดีเกี่ยวกับสัตว์ เรื่อง นางนวลพลัดถิ่น โดยมีเนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับการอพยพ การดำรงชีวิตของนกนางนวลในช่วงที่อพยพมาอาศัยอยู่บริเวณสถานตากอากาศบางปู
การผลิตสารคดีเกี่ยวกับสัตว์ เรื่อง นางนวลพลัดถิ่น ได้มีการศึกษาและสืบค้นข้อมูลเอกสาร ทำการสอบถามและสัมภาษณ์ข้อมูลจากผู้เชียวชาญด้านนก เพื่อนำข้อมูลที่ได้มาเขียนบทภาพยนตร์สารคดีโดยดำเนินการถ่ายทำด้วยกล้องดิจิตอล ยี่ห้อ Canon รุ่น Cinema EOS C300 ตัดต่อลำดับภาพและเสียงบรรยายพร้อมเสียงดนตรีประกอบโดยใช้โปรแกรม Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 จากนั้นผู้ศึกษาดำเนินการจัดทำสำเนาในรูปของสื่อดิจิตอลวีดีโอดิสก์ (DVD) และนำมาฉายให้กลุ่มผู้ชมที่กำลังศึกษาในสาขาวิชาการถ่ายภาพและภาพยนตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลธัญบุรี จำนวน 30 คน และให้ผู้ชมตอบแบบสอบถามความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับคุณภาพการผลิตภาพยนตร์สารคดี โดยให้ความสำคัญกับข้อมูล บทสารคดี องค์ประกอบทางด้านภาพ เสียง เทคนิคการตัดต่อลำดับภาพ และทำการประเมินค่าสถิติเป็นร้อยละและส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน โดยสามารถสรุปผลได้ดังนี้ จากกลุ่มผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามแบ่งเป็นเพศชาย มีจำนวน 16 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 53 และเพศหญิง จำนวน 14 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 47 จากกลุ่มตัวอย่างชายและหญิง ส่วนใหญ่จะมีอายุระหว่าง 18 – 20 ปี โดยกำลังศึกษาอยู่ในระดับปริญญาตรี
จากผลการศึกษาสรุปได้ว่า การนำเสนอสารคดีเกี่ยวกับสัตว์ เรื่อง นางนวลพลัดถิ่น สามารถทำให้ผู้ชมทราบถึงการอพยพ การดำรงชีวิตของนกนางนวลในช่วงที่อพยพมาอาศัยอยู่ที่ประเทศไทย ซึ่งสามารถนำไปเผยแพร่เพื่อเป็นประโยชน์ในแง่ของความรู้ให้กับผู้ชมต่อไปได้
