SETTING: The house of the three bears -- first the kitchen, then the bedroom. But you could do this play in your living room. This play can be performed in English or Ubbi Dubbi. Use the Ubbi Dubbi Translator to translate it.

Narrator:
Last time on Ubbi Dubbi Fairy Tales, the three Bears went for a walk, and Goldilocks found their house and their porridge waiting to cool.

(Goldilocks enters and approaches the table. On the table are 3 bowls of porridge, and 3 chairs behind, decreasing in size.)

Narrator:
First she tried Papa's porridge.

Goldilocks:
(Goldilocks tries porridge, makes face.)

Too hot!

Narrator:
Next she tried Mama's porridge.

Goldilocks:
(Goldilocks tries porridge, makes face.)

Too cold!

Narrator:
Last she tried Baby's porridge.

Goldilocks:
(Goldilocks tries porridge, makes "yum" face.)

Just right! And the chair fits, too!

(Goldilocks sits and eats greedily.)

YUM!

Narrator:
And she ate it all up.

(In her excitement of eating, Goldilocks rocks chair and breaks it.)

Goldilocks:
Oops! Well, it's time for a nap.

And she went upstairs to take a nap.

(Goldilocks goes upstairs to the bedroom, where there are 3 beds decreasing in size in one room. Goldilocks passes by each bed, commenting as she goes.)

(Goldilocks looks at Papa's bed.)

Goldilocks:
No way!

(Goldilocks looks at Mama's bed.)

No how!

(Goldilocks looks at Baby's bed.)

Just right!

Narrator:
Meanwhile, the bears came home.

(Papa Bear, Mama Bear, and Baby Bear enter the kitchen and go to their respective bowls/chairs.)

Papa Bear:
Someone's been eating my porridge!

(Papa Bear crosses arms with a "hmph" and sits in chair.)

Mama Bear:
Someone's been eating my porridge!

(Mama Bear crosses arms with a "hmph" and sits in chair.)

Baby Bear:
Someone's been eating my porridge, and they ate it all up!

(Baby Bear crosses arms with a "hmph!" and goes to sit in chair, but falls because it's broken.)

Papa Bear and Mama Bear:
And someone broke her chair!

Papa Bear:
Time for a nap!

(Papa Bear looks at Mama Bear and motions with hand to follow.)

Come on.

Mama Bear:
(Mama Bear looks at Baby Bear and motions with hand to follow.)

Come on.

Baby Bear:
(Baby Bear looks at no one and motions with hand to follow.)

Come on.

(They all march upstairs. Papa Bear and Mama Bear get into their beds. Baby Bear climbs into her bed, not noticing Goldilocks is there.)

Baby Bear:
Could you scoot over a bit?

Goldilocks:
Okay.

(Pause, then they sit up and look at each other and scream. Mama Bear and Papa Bear jump out of bed, Baby Bear runs to them, Goldilocks runs and hides in corner of the room.)

Papa Bear:
Did you eat our porridge?

Mama Bear:
Did you break her chair?

Baby Bear:
And what were you doing in my bed?

Goldilocks:
Well...um...see...Look!

(Goldilocks points up and away from door, and runs away as they look where she pointed. Papa Bear, Mama Bear, and Baby Bear look after her, look at each other, shrug.)

Narrator:
And the bears never saw Goldilocks again.
