ประวัติ
พระนารายณ์ราชนิเวศน์ เป็นพระราชวังที่สมเด็จพระนารายณ์มหาราชโปรดให้สร้างขึ้นเมื่อ พ.ศ. 2209 บนพื้นที่ 41 ไร่ ณ เมืองลพบุรี เพื่อใช้เป็นที่ประทับ ล่าสัตว์ ออกว่าราชการ และต้อนรับแขกเมือง พระองค์ทรงประทับ ณ พระราชวังแห่งนี้ประมาณ 8-9 เดือนในช่วงปลายรัชกาลและเสด็จสวรรคต ณ พระที่นั่งสุทธาสวรรค์ เมื่อวันที่ 11 กรกฎาคม พ.ศ. 2232
