4.การสนับสนุนให้มีการก่อสร้างการขนส่งระบบราง โครงการก่อสร้างเส้นทางรถไฟสายบ้านไผ่ – นครพนม
ซึ่งจะผ่านจังหวัดมุกดาหาร ระยะทาง 336 กิโลเมตร ขณะนี้อยู่ระหว่างการศึกษาและออกแบบรายละเอียดคาดว่าจะแล้วเสร็จในปี 2557
