งานวิจัยนี้เป็นงานวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ ด้วยวิธีปรากฎการณ์วิทยา มีวัตถุประสงเพื่อ 1) ศึกษารูปแบบและกลยุทธ์การดำเนินธุรกิจฟาร์มเลี้ยงเป็ดไข่ 2)ปัญหาและอุปสรรคในการดำเนินธุรกิจฟาร์มเลี้ยงเป็ดไข่ 3)เสนอแนะแนวทางการแก้ไขและปัญหาการดำเนินธุรกิจฟาร์มเลี้ยงเป็ดไข่ ธุรกิจ โดยเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลจากเอกสารและสื่ออิเล็กทรอนิคส์ร่วมกับการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกจากผู้ประกอบการจำนวน 4 ราย ในเขตอำเภอโพธาราม จังหวัดราชบุรี ผลการวิจัยพบว่าเกษตรกรมีประสบการณ์ที่สามารถเลี้ยงเป็ดไข่และทำการพัฒนาได้ ส่วนใหญ่ได้นำพันธุ์เป็ดไข่มาเลี้ยงจากต่างจังหวัด มีพื้นที่เหมาะกับการเลี้ยงเป็ดไข่และผลิตเป็ดไข่ให้เป็นไปที่ต้องการของตลาด การจำหน่ายไข่เป็ดส่วนใหญ่จะส่งเป็นไข่สดเพื่อไปทำการแปรรูปเป็นไข่เค็ม ปัญหาในการเลี้ยงเป็ดนั้น ได้แก่ เลี้ยงไม่ถูกสุขลักษณะ มีความหนาแน่น เกษตรกรใช้อาหารสำเร็จรูปในการเลี้ยง ต้องมีการจัดการที่ดีเพื่อประหยัดต้นทุนการผลิต เนื่องจากเป็นปัจจัยที่มีต้นทุนสูง เกษตรกรมีระยะเวลาในการเลี้ยงเป็ดไข่ตั้งแต่เป็ดสาวจนถึงเป็ดแก่ เกษตรกรจึงควรผลิตไข่เป็ดโยนึกถึงคุณภาพ วางแผนให้ตรงกับความต้องการของตลาด
